Ph.d. scholarship or post.doc position in biostatistics

The Section of Biostatistics, Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen is offering a position as either Ph.D. student or post.doc (3 years) to commence as soon as possible.

The job will involve working on advanced methods for longitudinal studies including challenges posed by dynamic treatment assignment (that is treatment which is being constantly adjusted in light of patient data). The work is to be conducted in close collaboration with Pediatric Oncology Research Laboratory, Copenhagen University Hospital and applied to cancer studies conducted by that group.

A more detailed project description is available upon request. Depending on the fields of applicants the job will either be offered as a Ph.D. scholarship or as a 3 year post.doc. position. The successful applicant for the Ph.D. scholarship will be a statistician with a candidate degree in e.g. mathematics or engineering sciences, whilst a successful applicant for the post.doc position should hold a Ph.D. degree in statistics or similar field. There will only be offered one position (either a Ph.D. scholarship or a post.doc), but we invite both types of positions to apply. Long term perspectives as a statistics expert within the field of pediatric oncology will feature prominently in the final hiring decision.

Salary and employment terms
Salary and employment terms are subject to the collective agreement made between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on the employment of academics in state service. In addition to the seniority-based salary, the appointee will receive an annual supplement depending on the category (Ph.D. or post.doc.) Additional bonuses may be negotiated on an individual basis.
